All dock floats are rotationally molded for a seamless one piece construction, thereby eliminating seams that can split and leak. The ribbed design gives the floats added strength and durability. The resin used in the encasement exhibits resilience against ice, bumping by watercraft and degradation caused by petroleum products. The encasement is resistant to damage by animals and marine organisms and will not sink or contaminate the water if punctured.

All units are made from virgin Linear Low Density Polyethylene resin. This resin contains UV inhibitors and Carbon black to protect from deterioration caused by UV light the resin offers a balance of toughness rigidity environmental stress crack resistance and low temperature performance.

Permafloats have a flat top, and molded in mounting holes for easy attachment to any dock frame be it new construction or replacement. The floats can be used in simple residential docks or large complex marina applications where encapsulated flotation is required. The floats are filled with expanded polystyrene foam that does not contain CFC’s or HCFC’s. Permafloat meets all know requirements for encapsulated flotation.
